Step Into Liquid

Liquid

Liquid

Last summer, I was walking in Lawrence, MA

when I came across a puddle of nasty-looking

liquid sitting next to the curb ahead. Upon closer

inspection, it turned out to be massive quanitities

of paint that had spilled and run down the street,

forming a dynamic kaleidoscope of bright colors,

swirling and intertwining on their way to the

storm drains.

“Somewhere there’s speaking
It’s already coming in
Oh and it’s rising at the back of your mind
You never could get it
Unless you were fed it
Now you’re here and you don’t know why ”

Acoustic panels and sound isolation foam- two items absolutely necessary in any performance space, yet two of the most camouflaged. Ever wonder what they look like exposed? Talk about some cool shapes!

Occasional Informational Post

So, just giving you guys a heads-up on some neat little additions to the website in the coming days… here’s a sneak-peek:

1. Polls- I’ll be posing several questions each week, and it’s up to you (the viewer) to vote on a question. At the end of the week, I’ll use pictures to answer your choice. Whether it’s the most voted or least is another story…

2. Community Flickr Group- I’d like to create a group pool on Flickr for everybody to upload photos to. Once a week, I’ll choose a “Pic of the Week” to display here, and in the comments section I’ll leave it up to you guys to determine a question (or answer) to go along with it.

3. Photo Essays – I’d like to embed flash-based slideshows into the website, to better “tell a story” or to otherwise facilitate a better way to display multiple photos in a group in one place.

Things You’re Not Expecting, p.1

I’ve decided to start a new series here at Passare Fotografia- “Things You’re Not Expecting”. My plan is to share stuff that you genuinely don’t run across every day. The weird stuff that makes you pause and wonder what exactly you’re looking at. Like, for instance, when while driving around, you stumble upon something like this:

A flock of barrels.

A flock of barrels.

A flock of barrels, 2.

A flock of barrels, 2.

Apparently, traffic barriers now travel in packs. Safety in numbers!

Apparently my el-cheapo dinner several evenings ago was happy to see me. Go figure.

It’s extremely hard to be angry at your spaghettios. Like, really, it is.

Passare Fotografia- A Formal Introduction.

Welcome to Passare Fotografia. Curious? I figured.

“Passare Fotografia” is an Italian phrase, meaning “Photography in Passing”. Still curious? Good.

I walk around with a camera constantly, snapping photos of things in everyday life that we fail to notice. What does a payphone look like from underneath? Do Oreos have anything printed on the cream side in addition to the outside? What do television pixels look like?

I seek to answer the questions nobody asks. Welcome to my little corner of the web.
